WILDJAC: WILD & BOTANICAL

This month we feature Wildjac Honey Spiced Rum from the Homegrown distillery in the heart of Wyre Forest, Worcestershire. The history of the forest with its acres of British Oak, Silver Birch and Douglas Fir gives inspiration and influence to the brand.

Despite being a small team, Wildjac is passionate about its purpose-driven goals and also producing top quality rum! Working closely with local organisations to source the finest organic ingredients and honey from their local farm shop, just a few miles up the road.

“Wildjac uses traditional distillation techniques whilst embracing modern technology”

Wildjac boasts a strong ethos for the environment. Using 100% natural ingredients, locally sourced botanicals, batch distilled, in a truly sustainable and eco-friendly manner, reducing the carbon footprint of each handmade spirit.

Featuring a blend of sustainably sourced, sugar cane from Panama, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Honduras. This unique blend of Caribbean and South American rum is then aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels and infused with Worcestershire honey and spicy English Coriander.

Bright sweet honey with warm ginger root, zesty orange and smooth vanilla pod make up its flavour profiles, with further notes of clove, all spice, nutmeg and dried fruits with subtle oak wood from the barrel ageing. A spicy hit of English Coriander, cassia (aromatic cinnamon bark) and black peppercorn balances the honey sweetness.

“A full-bodied rum packed with feisty flavour and a unique sweet-spicy balance”

Enjoy Wildjac neat, over ice or with your favourite mixer. Or if you’re feeling inventive, try the ‘Wildjac Pineapple Punch’ – mix Wildjac Honey Spiced Rum with pineapple juice, dry ginger ale and lime juice. Serve over ice and garnish with a wedge of fresh cut lime.
