Please read these Terms carefully and make sure that you understand them before you place an order for any product.

UK Delivery

STANDARD DELIVERY is £4.95. Delivery usually takes 2-3 working days if ordered before 7pm.

EXPRESS DELIVERY is £5.95. Delivery usually takes 1-2 working days if ordered before 7pm.

Standard UK Delivery is free for all orders over £75. Express UK Delivery is free for all orders over £100. Deliveries are made Monday-Saturday. We use courier services that require age verification on delivery. Valid ID and a Signature will be required upon delivery.

We currently deliver to anywhere in the UK including Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and BFPO (British Forces Post Office) addresses. UK Deliveries outside of mainland Britain may take longer to arrive.

If you choose to make any additional payments directly to a courier for any form of upgrade or custom service, The Rum Company is not liable for any refunds for this cost. Any issues with an upgraded service must be handled between the customer and the courier.

We always aim to deliver your order promptly but cannot accept liability for delay. In the case of any free upgrade to express delivery, no refunds are due in the case of delayed delivery or service interruptions. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt.

Tracking will be sent to the e-mail used to place your order. You may also receive delivery tracking to your mobile if you also provide your number. If you have missed your attempted deliveries and your order is now being returned to us, we can re-send your order once it is received. Unfortunately, we have no control over the amount of time this takes. Customers must pay for additional postage costs.

If your delivery has been lost in the post, please be as patient as you can. Unfortunately, These things happen and normally turn up just a few days late. If your order has not arrived 4 days past your scheduled delivery date, please check your emails as the courier is probably trying to arrange another delivery attempt.

BANK HOLIDAYS: No shipping collections or deliveries will be made on Bank Holidays.

CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES: Please place any orders for Christmas by 19th December with EXPRESS DELIVERY to allow for any possible delays in shipping. We also wanted to let you know we will be shipping with a limited service between 21st December 2024 - 4th January 2025. You will still be able to place orders, but any made between these dates may take slightly longer than our usual targets.

European Delivery

We also now ship to most European countries from £17*; Andorra, Austria, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Corsica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Sicily, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey & Vatican City State.

*Delivery times and costs are increased for international shipping and are shown clearly in checkout dependent on destination and quantity. Shipping to the EU is normally 4-6 days.

IMPORTANT: Please note that customers placing orders outside the UK may be subject to import customs fees, which are not included in the order total and are the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking with your local customs office for information before placing your order.

Shipping costs are calculated at the checkout.

We are unable to ship to the USA or Canada at this time.

It is the responsibility of the customer to report goods damaged in transit. No compensation can be offered for loss of wages due to failed or late deliveries. Customers accept responsibility for the safe storage and use of the products upon receipt. The Rum Company is not liable for damage caused by customer mishandling. 
 

RETURNS

If there is a problem with your order, items are faulty, or you wish to return goods for any other reason, please contact us at info@therum.company within 90 days of purchase. If you wish to return merchandise goods only, they must be returned unopened in their original packaging to us.

Please note that return shipping will be paid by the customer except in cases where goods are faulty, in which case they will be reimbursed to the customer. Once the goods are received back in our warehouse, a refund will be processed for the goods, minus applicable shipping costs, unless the return concerns faulty or damaged goods. The refund will appear in your account in 5 to 10 business days. We will refund you using the same method which you used to pay.

Refunds will not be issued in the instance of an order being placed outside the conditions of the delivery parameters stated on the checkout page. We shall not be liable to pay any compensation to you, other than any refund as stated above.

Card payments are made through a secure server. The Rum Company does not store your financial details. Your personal details are not passed to any third party. Payment will be taken at the time of ordering.  
 

Age VERIFICATION POLICY

We take our responsibility in relation to the sale of age-restricted items exceptionally seriously. Licensing Act 2003: it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol. You must be aged 18 or over to make purchases from the website; by placing an order you declare that you are 18 years of age or over and understand that it is an offence to purchase alcohol as, or on behalf of, a minor.

We reserve the right to withhold delivery (or have the courier withhold delivery) to persons who appear or cannot provide evidence that they are aged 18 or over, or appear under the influence of alcohol. We will only deliver age-restricted items to the shipping address provided at checkout, which may include reception of a commercial building, etc.

We use courier services that require age verification on delivery. Valid ID as proof of age of the recipient will be required on delivery. Photo identification accepted includes; a passport, Driving licence. If the recipient is unable to provide evidence of age, the item will be returned to The Rum Company.

Should a delivery attempt be missed, the courier may leave a ‘something for you’ card following an unsuccessful delivery attempt and return it to your local collection point. The courier will require age verification at collection. Royal Mail operates a ‘Challenge 25’ policy and a signature will be required upon collection. All information we receive about customers is treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please drink responsibly.

The Rum Company makes no promise that materials on the Site are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United Kingdom.

Any purchases made are under the agreement that products will not be re-sold unless you have an authorised trade account with us.

We aim to ensure the prices shown are correct. If an error does occur, we will make every effort to contact you to confirm if you would like to proceed with the order at the correct price. While every effort is made to supply all items listed online, there are instances where this may not be possible. In these cases, we will contact you and offer a substitute with the same or greater value. We reserve the right to withdraw or replace products online without notice.
