made popular in new orleans in the 1940s and named after the hurricane-shaped glasses in which its served, this iconic tropical cocktail is a boozy tipple not to be missed.

INGREDIENTS

50ml white rum
50ml dark rum
50ml passion fruit juice
25ml orange juice
Juice of half a lime
1 tbsp grenadine
1tbsp simple sugar syrup
Maraschino cherry
Slice of orange

Method

1. Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well.

2. Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice. Finally garnish with a maraschino cherry and slice or orange.
