House of Rum Barbados 2010 (70cl, 60.5%)
This incredible Rum was distilled in 2010 and placed into an ex-Bourbon Whiskey cask. Its first five years were spent tropically ageing in the parish of Saint Philips, Barbados in the Eastern Caribbean before being shipped across the Atlantic to the UK where the Rum was re-filled into an ex-Scotch Whisky cask for a further eight years of continental ageing before being bottled by House of Rum in 2023.
Nose – Wonderful bouquet of freshly baked bread, complemented by notes of creamy butter and sun-dried fruits.
Palate – Delightful array of tropical fruits such as ripe banana, mango, and lemon, accompanied by subtle spicy hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is remarkably long, smooth, and harmonious, reiterating the elegant blend of fruity and spicy flavours
